Kintsugi Repair Service
Our kintsugi repair work is based on the original Japanese method using real urushi lacquer and genuine metal powders—gold, silver, or brass. Whether you’re bringing a chipped teacup, a broken plate, or a ceramic heirloom, each object is repaired with the utmost care and respect for its story.
This is not a quick epoxy fix. Each commission takes time to complete and includes:
- A free consultation to understand your item and its use
- Pricing based on size, breakage, and chosen metal
- Optional documentation or follow-up care advice
We also run hands-on workshops (see our Workshops page) if you’d like to experience the meditative process of repairing your own ceramics using natural urushi.
Kintsugi is more than a repair—it’s a philosophy of embracing imperfection, healing through beauty, and honoring the traces of time.
Tea Testing (Wei Cha Method 煨茶)
In contrast to formal tea ceremonies, our Wei Cha tea tasting is grounded in earthiness and warmth. Using charcoal and clay kettles, this traditional method of slow brewing reveals a deeper expression of aged and roasted teas.
You’ll experience:
- A quiet, intimate tea session using antique clay pots and local fire
- Carefully curated aged teas that pair beautifully with this brewing method
- A setting inspired by the seasons, materials, and personal presence
The session is ideal for those who seek a grounded, non-performative approach to tea—where what matters is the quiet clarity of taste, not ceremony.
