Learn Guqin in London – A Unique Blend of Music, Culture & Philosophy
Guqin Music Lessons in London
At ZIYO, we offer Guqin music lessons in London, based in Teddington, taught one-to-one. Rooted in Chinese philosophy and aesthetics, our lessons blend tradition with contemporary creativity. Whether you are a beginner or continuing your practice, our Guqin lessons provide not only music training but also a deeper cultural and artistic experience.
We provide one-to-one tuition, not classroom-style lessons, so each session is tailored to your pace and needs. Lessons are sold in blocks of 4 for £180 (each session is 60 minutes). You may also choose to add a tea session to enrich your learning experience.
✨ Free Trial: We offer a complimentary 30-minute introductory lesson so you can discover whether Guqin is right for you before committing further.
Flexible booking times are available throughout the week, and we also provide online Guqin lessons via Zoom for students worldwide.
About Your Tutor
Our Guqin tutor is a London-based artist who practices his craft through the lens of traditional Chinese philosophy and aesthetics, while also engaging with contemporary culture. Passionate about Chinese music from a young age, he studied a wide range of instruments before dedicating himself to the Guqin.
He trained in Taiwan, his home country, and has also studied with leading Guqin players in China. His teaching brings together deep cultural understanding with a clear and personal approach, making lessons accessible to both beginners and advanced students.
