-After the rain last weekend-
The Autumn rains have finally arrived in London after a series of incorrect weather forecasts. Not only did it finally cool down after a very stuffy London summer, but it also provided much needed water for the dry ground in our garden. Just in time to rescue my much beloved plants.
For me, the rain is a gift. It soothes the ground and all the life the ground supports. It brings rain and strong winds which reminds me of Taiwanese typhoons.
A lot of branches and leaves were blown down by these strong winds. Here is a branch of a London plane I found on the road. To me it looks very beautiful with its fruit still attached at the tip of the branch. This is good material for flower arranging.
It reminds me to see things differently, even the the most ordinary things in our daily life.
The London plane tree is fruiting at the moment, so don’t forget to take a look and appreciate this wonderful seasonal event.
